COLLAGEN

COLLAGEN is a vital protein that ensures the cohesion, elasticity, and formation of connective tissues, skin, tendons, and ligaments in the body.

Many people are surprised to learn that, after water, collagen is the most plentiful substance in our bodies. Unfortunately, from our early 20s onward, the body's natural production of collagen declines. By the time we are 50, we produce 60% less collagen. This decline in collagen production can contribute to many of the symptoms associated with aging, including aching joints, thinning hair, and digestion issues.

MARINE

COLLAGEN

MARINE COLLAGEN can be sourced from many marine animals, and HOMA Marine Collagen is sourced from deep-sea wild-caught, cold-water fish such as cod, haddock, and pollock. HOMA Marine Collagen is sourced from fish skins, much of which would otherwise be wasted as a by-product of manufacturing. The HOMA Marine Collagen production process uses no heat or enzymes, ensuring that the natural benefits of the collagen are not destroyed or mitigated during the isolation process.

Marine Collagen is a Type 1 collagen, which the most abundant type in our body. It is an important component of our bones, teeth, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Type 1 collagen is also rich in amino acids. Marine collagen is a hydrolyzed collagen, allowing for efficient absorption into the body. The hydolyzing process break the collagen into smaller particles which increases absorption and bioavailability.

Other types of collagen, such as bovine or porcine, do not have the some bioavailability as hydrolyzed marine collagen, and are also not as rich in amino acids.

HOMA MARINE COLLAGEN is a hydrolyzed marine collagen manufactured entirely in Canada in a GMP & FDA approved facility. It is a Health Canada licensed product. HOMA Marine Collagen is free from harmful chemicals, antibiotics, and hormones.

HOMA Marine Collagen contains essential amino acids, including substantial amounts of glycine and proline, which have antioxidant properties and stimulate natural collagen production in the body. HOMA Marine Collagen both promotes natural production of collagen in the body and supplements natural collagen.
